Drill Cool Systems Exclusive Partnership

    Temperature Control Solutions

Industry-leading mud cooling technology for Onshore GeoCooler™ and Offshore FX Units™ across Southeast Asia.

Why Mud Cooling Matters in HPHT & Geothermal

High downhole temperatures degrade drilling mud properties, shorten MWD/LWD electronics lifespan, cause premature elastomer failure, and increase non-productive time (NPT) significantly.

PT TNG partners with Drill Cool Systems to provide field-proven surface mud cooling solutions that continuously cool fluid before it is pumped back downhole.

    • Reduces bottomhole fluid temperature by up to 83°F (46°C)
    • Extends MWD/LWD tool lifespan and battery reliability
    • Prevents mud gelation and reduces chemical additive costs
    • Protects rig floor personnel from extreme fluid heat hazards
GeoCooler evaporative mud cooler unit deployed on an onshore HPHT drilling rig, reducing bottomhole fluid temperature by up to 83°F

    Our Cooling Equipment Options

    GeoCooler™ (Onshore)

High-capacity evaporative heat exchanger designed for land operations. Operates efficiently in high ambient humidity environments typical of Southeast Asia.

    • • Modular skid-mounted design
    • • Low electrical footprint
    • • Built-in redundant pumps

    FX Unit™ (Offshore)

Seawater shell-and-tube heat exchanger specifically engineered for jackups, semi-submersibles, and drillships with limited deck space.

    • • Compact footprint for rig deck placement
    • • Marine-grade corrosion resistant alloy construction
    • • Continuous duty with minimal maintenance

Mud Cooler Rental & Engineering Support Across Southeast Asia

Operators drilling HPHT and geothermal wells in Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, and across Southeast Asia face bottomhole temperatures that can exceed 350°F (177°C). Without surface mud cooling, circulating fluid returns hot enough to degrade mud chemistry, shorten MWD/LWD battery and electronics life, and trigger premature elastomer failure — all major drivers of non-productive time (NPT).

PT TNG supplies Drill Cool Systems GeoCooler and FX Unit mud coolers on a project basis, from short HPHT appraisal campaigns to multi-year development drilling. Each deployment begins with a complimentary thermal-hydraulic model of your well — incorporating survey, geothermal gradient, lithology, casing plan, BHA, and mud rheology — so we can size the right cooling capacity and quantify the expected temperature reduction before mobilization.

Our field engineers handle mobilization, rig-up, commissioning, and ongoing support from our Cikarang base, keeping your HPHT program on schedule with locally-stocked spares and rapid response across Java, Sumatra, Kalimantan, and North Sulawesi.
